• The objective of the qualification at Action Training is to benefit Learners by enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of first aid situations when looking after children.
  • This qualification introduces candidates to:
    • When to call for help
    • The responsibilities of a First Aider
    • Undertake a primary survey
    • The legal requirements for first aid provision
    • The importance of assessing an incident
    • The importance of accurate incident reporting
    • First aid equipment and its safe use
    • The need to minimise the risk of infection
  • This course is for students that have volunteered to a nominated First Aider within the work place and currently do not hold a first aid at work certificate. This course will suit any member of staff within the work place. The Objectives / Learning Outcome For This Course Will Be:

  • This course is for students that have volunteered to be a nominated First Aider within the work place and currently hold a first aid at work certificate. (Evidence of this must be provided on the course) This course will suit any member of staff within the work place.   • The training course is designed for workers caring for children in the absence of their parents. The training is for all staff involved in the care or teaching of children, for example midday assistants, class room assistants, teachers, childminders, carers, nannies and after school members of staff.
